This page explains what we collect when you ask for a quote, how we use it to get you a price, and the choices you have. We keep it short and honest.
Who we are
Clean Neighbor provides residential house cleaning in Bergen County, New Jersey. When we say “we” or “us” on this page, we mean Clean Neighbor. When we say “you,” we mean anyone who visits this site or asks us for a quote.
What we collect
We only ask for what we need to get you a price and set up your clean. When you fill out a quote request or contact us, that usually includes:
• Your name.
• Your contact details, like your phone number and email address.
• Your home address and the town you are in, so a local cleaner near you can be arranged.
• Details about the clean you want, like home size, the type of clean, and any extras or notes you add.
We also collect basic technical information automatically when you visit the site, like your browser type and the pages you view. See the cookies note below.
Information we collect automatically
Some information arrives on its own when you visit. That includes your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you look at, how long you spend on them, and the site you arrived from. We use it to keep the site working and to understand what is useful, not to work out who you are.
How we use your information
We use the details you share to:
• Send a vetted local cleaner who serves your area.
• Prepare a fair, flat quote and text it back to you, usually within a few minutes.
• Coordinate your clean, answer your questions, and follow up if something needs to be made right.
• Keep the site working, safe, and easy to use.
We share your name, address, phone number, and the details of your request with the cleaner we send for your booking, so they can plan and do the clean. We share only what they need for the job. The sections below explain every other case where your details are shared.
Text messages and SMS consent
If you give us your phone number and check the text box on our quote form, we may send you messages about your cleaning by SMS: booking confirmations, reminders, a note when your cleaner is on the way, review requests, and alerts if something changes. Texting is optional and is never required to get a quote or to book. Message frequency varies by booking. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not stop you from getting a quote another way, like email or a phone call.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We never sell, rent, or trade your mobile number or your text opt-in, and we never share either one with anyone for their own marketing.
We share your mobile number only where it is needed to do the job you asked for: with the cleaner assigned to your booking, so they can reach you on the day, and with the provider that delivers our text messages. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Keys, door codes and alarm codes
Some homes need a key, a door code, a lockbox code, or an alarm code so your cleaner can get in. You never have to give us one: being home works, and so does leaving a key with someone. If you do give us one, we treat it as the most sensitive thing you have trusted us with. We pass it only to the cleaner assigned to your visit, and to nobody else.
We do not keep it by default. We will ask you whether we may save it for future visits, and if you have not said yes, we destroy it once the visit is done. If you do say yes, we keep it only while you are on a recurring plan with us, and we destroy it when that plan ends. You can tell us to delete it at any point, for any reason, and we will.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it for marketing. We share it only with the cleaner we send and with the trusted service providers that help us run the site and send messages, and only so they can do that work for us.
We rely on a small number of providers to run the business: our website host, our booking and scheduling system, our payment processor, and the provider that delivers our text messages. They handle your information only to do that work for us.
We may also share information when the law requires it, such as a subpoena, a court order, or a lawful request from a government authority, and when we need to protect our rights, our customers, or the safety of others.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you give us, and we limit access to the people who need it. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our systems. No way of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we do tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.
Cookies
This site uses small files called cookies, plus similar tools, to remember your preferences, keep the site secure, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings. If you turn them off, some parts of the site may not work as well.
Our website host also gives us basic analytics about which pages get visited and how people arrive, so we can see what is working. We use it to improve the site, not to build a profile of you.

This site may link to websites we do not run. We are not responsible for how they handle your information. Please read their privacy policies before you share anything with them.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide the service, follow up on your clean, and meet our legal and record-keeping needs. After that, we remove it or make it anonymous.
Your privacy rights and choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will help. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, and you can opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link in any message we send.
Your New Jersey privacy rights
New Jersey’s data privacy law gives residents rights over their personal information: to know what a business holds about them, to correct it, to delete it, to get a copy, and to opt out of having it sold or used for targeted advertising or profiling. That law applies to businesses well above our size, so it does not currently govern us. We offer these rights anyway.
Ask us using the details below. We will check that the request really comes from you, answer within 45 days, and tell you if we need one more 45 days. It is free, and we will not treat you differently for asking. If we have to keep something to meet a legal, tax, or accounting obligation, we will say what and why. If you disagree with our answer you can ask us to look again, and you can contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
Where we operate
Clean Neighbor serves Bergen County, New Jersey, and we do not offer our cleaning services outside the United States. We handle your information mainly in the United States. Some of the providers we rely on to run this site and our booking system are international companies, so your information may be processed on their systems elsewhere.
Children
This site is meant for adults booking a home cleaning. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of the page. Please check back now and then so you know how we handle your information.
